Brain Fit, LLC is a behavioral health consulting and clinical services firm that operates as a multi-specialty provider network for VA and DoD-aligned C&P evaluation contracts. Led by Dr. Jonathan Shelton, Psy.D., we recruit, credential, and coordinate licensed providers across psychology, dentistry, audiology, optometry, and medical disciplines.

Brain Fit receives C&P evaluation referrals through a national VA-contracted evaluation partner on the Medical Disability Examination (MDE) program. Our role is to match those referrals to the right credentialed provider in our network — handling all the administrative, credentialing, and coordination work so our providers can focus entirely on the clinical evaluation.

As a Brain Fit network provider, you work directly with us — we handle the upstream contracting relationship, credentialing, and coordination so you can focus entirely on the clinical evaluation.
Not necessarily. Brain Fit provides orientation and training on DBQ formats and evaluation protocols. Active licensure in your specialty and a genuine interest in serving veteran populations are the core requirements.
Yes. Most of our network providers complete C&P evaluations as a supplement to their existing clinical work. There is no minimum volume requirement and you control your own availability from the start.
For certain exam types, yes. The VA has expanded telehealth options for some C&P evaluation categories. Brain Fit will clarify which formats apply to your specialty during the onboarding conversation.
Brain Fit considers providers licensed in any U.S. state. Our network is growing nationally and we welcome providers regardless of geography.
Providers are compensated on a per-evaluation basis. Rates are discussed transparently during the onboarding process and are competitive with industry standards for C&P evaluation work.
